JROTC students visit Pentagon with Commissioner Bronson

Bibb County students were able to participate in a special experience in Washington, D.C. last week. On Wednesday, April 16, 20 JROTC cadets and cadre from the Bibb County School District visited the Department of Defense at the Pentagon to learn about leadership and the warrior spirit. 

District 2 Commissioner Paul Bronson arranged and helped sponsor this opportunity along with Bibb CTAE Executive Director and CEO of W. S. Hutchings College and Career Academy Dr. Cassandra Washington.  

“It’s an honor to serve this community and use my platform as Commissioner and service member to build partnerships that will help develop our future leaders,” said Commissioner Bronson, who also serves as the Command Inspector General for the Army Reserve Sustainment Command out of Birmingham, AL. 

Sixteen cadets, from different high school and  middle school JROTC, three instructors, and Commissioner Bronson, enjoyed a chance to speak with Chairman of The Joint Staff , Gen. Dan Caine,  who shared words of encouragement and thanked the students for their interest in national service.
