From the Cherry Blossom Festival -The 43rd Cherry Blossom Festival is set to bloom once again, bringing a vibrant celebration to Macon-Bibb County. Taking place from March 21-30, 2025, this year’s festival promises an action-packed schedule of events for all ages, including concerts, races, midway rides, delicious food, and much more.

The Festival at Carolyn Crayton Park (March 21-30, 2025) – Home of our midway rides, Nightly Concert Series, food vendors, shows and attractions and more. New this year, enjoy a $5 admission until 5 PM on the weekdays. Kids under 10 are always free. Hours are: Sunday-Monday: 12:00  – 9:00 PM, Fridays: 12:00  – 10:00 PM and Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

Festivalgoers can enjoy daily entertainment including the epic tethered hot air balloon rides (weather permitting), thrilling Jurassic Kingdom dinosaur show, the hilarious Racing Pigs, adorable Sea Lion Splash, the magical Mike Fuller, and interactive character meet-and-greets featuring favorites like Bluey, Moana, Inside Out, and Spiderman. Nightly concerts will light up the stage with performances from local and regional artists, including AJ The DJ for the Festival Finale on March 30. Specialty Days at CCP this year offer Heroes Day (March 24) – Free admission and discounted rides for military, first responders, and DOD civilians; Seniors Day (March 25) – Free admission for guests aged 55+; State Employee Day (March 26) – Free entry for Georgia state employees, including teachers; and College Day (March 27) – Half-off admission for college students with valid ID.

Downtown Featured Events:

  • The Ultimate Air Dogs Dock Dog Diving Competition (March 22-23) – High-flying canine athletes compete in dock jumping.
  • Wiener Dog Race (March 22, 12:00 PM) – Cheer on the fastest dachshunds in Middle Georgia as they race for the championship.
  • Musical Chairs (March 22, 1:00 PM) – Local celebrities compete in an entertaining game of musical chairs wearing inflatable animal costumes.
  • Bed Race (March 22, 1:30 PM) – A fan-favorite, where creatively crafted beds race down Cherry Street. We’re all waiting to see the Macon-Bibb Fire Department defend their title!
  • Cherry Blossom Parade (March 23, 3:00 PM) – A grand showcase of marching bands, specialty floats, and local businesses.
  • Third Street Park (March 24-28 from 11:30AM-1:00PM) – Enjoy the legendary pink ice cream and Coca-Cola
  • Food Truck Frenzy & Cherry Market (March 29-30, 10:00AM-7:00PM) – A weekend filled with unique culinary delights and local and regional vendors.
