The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank is holding is second major food distribution event for people in need on Saturday, June 1 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The event will take place at Coliseum Hospital (350 Hospital Drive), and the Food Bank will provide each family a box of food that should last a week for a family of five.

They need YOUR help to make this happen, though. They rely on volunteers to pack the food into boxes and bags beginning at 9:00 a.m. and then distribute the boxes when the event begins at 11. Any amount of time you can give would be greatly appreciated.

At its first event in March, the Food Bank gave out more than 895 boxes of food which served more 2,500 people.
