Fire Department to hold annual MDA Tournament fundraiser

Time to tee off for a good cause! The Fire Department is holding its annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). It’s happening Friday, October 18, at Historic Bowden Golf Course (3111 Millerfield Road). Tee time is at 8:30 a.m.  Media members are invited to visit during the tournament and conduct interviews. 

This year, there will only be one flight this year, starting at 8:30 a.m., with check-in from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. 

“This is the perfect opportunity for our firefighters to come together and once again support an organization in our community,” says Fire Chief Shane Edwards. “Our firefighters look forward to playing in the tournament every year and really enjoy the competitive spirit, but it in the end it’s all for a good cause.”
