Our Recreation Department is holding its monthly Family Movie Night on Friday, June 9, at 7:15 p.m. in Carolyn Crayton Park (150 Willie Smokie Glover Drive), in front of the Round Building on the great lawn. This month, families can come out and enjoy watching Zootopia together.

“Our Movie Night is a great way for families to come together and enjoy a movie while creating lasting memories,” says Recreation Programmer Natalie Allen. “This event provides a safe space for families to socialize and connect, and for kids to have fun without having to worry about the cost of entertainment.”

The last Movie Night in April brought out about 50 people, and we’re hoping to draw many more. Families can bring their own blankets, chairs, tents, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. Complimentary popcorn and cotton candy will be available. People are not allowed to drive their vehicles onto the lawn.

The next Movie Nights are Friday, July 14 when The Addams Family 2 will be playing, and on Friday, August 11 you can watch Ghost Busters 2.
