Celebrate Earth Day with a fun and educational day at the park! The Macon-Bibb County Earth Day Celebration is happening at Amerson River Park (2551 Pierce Dr. N) this year on Saturday, April 22, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Activities will be held on the great lawn behind the playground area.

“We are so excited for our 13th Annual Macon-Bibb Earth Day celebration,” said Earth Day Committee Co-Chair Lacey Resch. “Amerson River Park is the perfect place to spend Earth Day; bring the family and learn all about ways we can conserve and protect this earth for generations to come!”

The event is open to all ages and free to enter, although there will be NuWay hotdogs and Pinky’s Shaved Ice for purchase. There will be live music from DUBSHAK, educational exhibitors with giveaways, face painters, the Southeastern Reptile Rescue, and a Kids Zone. Like in past years, once kids complete the activities and get their Earth Day passport stamped, they will get a free kid’s Earth Day t-shirt.

The event will happen rain or shine!
