More than a dozen people recently graduated from a specialized class offered by the Office of Workforce Development. The E3 Career Jumpstart Program helps men and women learn a strong skill set in order to get back into the workforce.

“I had two jobs, part-time, minimum wage, and I still couldn’t make ends meet,” said Graduate Terrilyn Taylor. “I jumped in to give myself a new start!” You can see a video with more of Terrilyn’s story, and details on the program, here.

Each student graduates with certifications in forklift operation, CPR, OSHA training, computer skills, business skills, and more.

“When you look at the resume when they first come in the program, versus when they leave it, it is difference in day and night, ‘ says E3 Coordinator with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, Howard Scott.

For more information on this class, and others offered through the Office of Workforce Development, you can follow the Middle Georgia Regional Commission on Facebook & Twitter, or call the office directly at (478) 751-6160.
