A public meeting will be held in District 6 on Monday, December 5 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Lizella Baptist Church (2950 South Lizella Road). A group of citizens in District 6 invited Mayor Robert Reichert, directors, and other officials to meet with the community to discuss the future of their neighborhoods and the county.

“We want to give people here a chance to hear about the direction our consolidated government is taking, and for us to let them know what improvements we want to happen in our neighborhoods,” says Mrs. Moran.

Topics – based on the questions posed that evening – could include the current and future Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST), county finances, animal control, recreations, roads, trash and recycling services, code enforcement, and more.
