Macon-Bibb County honored employees who reached milestone anniversaries during its Years of Service Awards Reception, celebrating their dedication and commitment to serving the community.

The reception recognized employees who reached eligible service milestones in five-year increments (5, 10, 15, 20 years, and beyond) as of June 30, 2026. Employees who reach eligible milestones during the second half of 2026 will be recognized at a second reception in December.

As part of the celebration, employees watched special video messages from Mayor Lester Miller and County Manager Dr. Keith Moffett, who thanked honorees for their years of service and recognized the important role they play in serving Macon-Bibb County.

“I want to say thank you,” said Mayor Lester Miller. “Every day, you show up and do the work that keeps Macon-Bibb moving forward. We couldn’t do what we do without your dedication, and I’m grateful for everything you do for our community.”

Chief Human Resources Officer Joveta Turner said the County is implementing a more structured and consistent employee recognition process. Since assuming the role in April 2026, Turner has worked to establish a clear process to ensure employees’ years of service are recognized and that eligible team members receive the recognition they deserve.

Employees who reach eligible service milestones during the second half of 2026 will be honored at the County’s second Years of Service Awards Reception in December.
