On Saturday, July 30, the Beall’s Hill Neighborhood Association along with Centenary Church are hosting a neighborhood cleanup covering Oglethorpe and Ash Streets. It starts at 9:00 a.m. at 899 Oglethorpe Street and will go until 10:30 a.m.
“Cleanups are a simple way to show your neighbors you care about them and their community,” says Beall’s Hill Neighborhood Association Coordinator Megan Kane. “They make the area safer for residents and reduce the amount of trash that goes into drains and down river.”
Volunteers are invited to participate and will be provided trash bags, litter pickers, gloves, and vests by Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful (KMBB). Parking will be available on Ogelthorpe or Maple Streets.
If you’d like to hold your own community cleanup, contact KMBB Executive Director Asha Ellen at asha.ellen@kmbbc.org.
