Our neighborhoods and streets need YOUR help

April 10 is the day neighborhoods, community groups, schools, churches, businesses, and people have been challenged to come together and help pick up litter around Macon-Bibb County and show others whey they believe clean streets matter. So far, nearly 30 groups have registered to host a cleanup, and individual people have been calling asking where they could help.

“Our crews have been hard at work picking up the piles that require heavy equipment, and I’m so glad to see so many people wanting to be a part of our team,” says Mayor Lester Miller.

To register as an individual or team visit www.keepmaconbibbbeautiful.org and click on the homepage banner. If you do not have an area picked out to clean, KMBB will help you or your group join with another neighborhood.  Individuals and teams will be provided with resources needed such as grabbers, buckets, vests, gloves, trash bags or dumpsters to ensure a successful cleanup. KMBB will partner with Macon-Bibb and Waste Management to collect trash and measure the impact you make your neighborhood.
