While a lot of serious business gets done at Macon City Hall, we like to have fun every now and then. Our Procurement Department held a holiday door decorating contest this month for every department at City Hall.

Each department had a maximum budget of $250 to decorate their door or hallway entry.

“Every department at City participated and displayed some awesome Christmas decorating talent. The competition was established as a Team Building exercise and it was a tremendous success,” said Procurement Officer Charles Wimberly. “There may have been a little shade thrown all in good fun and a lot of fun was had among the departments during the competition.”

The Sheriff’s Office Fiscal Services Director Kimberly Roberts,  Fire Chief Shane Edwards, and Economic and Community Development Director Wanzina Jackson were all judges in the competition. The winners are listed below!

  • 1st Place Human Resources Department
  • 2nd Place Legal Department
  • 3rd Place was a tie:
    • Clerk of Commissioners Office
    • Code Enforcement Department
