August 11, 2025, is now officially known as Ms. Kaye Whitehead Billingslea Day in Macon-Bibb County. Mayor Lester Miller and Dr. Henry Ficklin presented a proclamation for Ms. Kaye for her 80th birthday.  

Ms. Kaye Whitehead Billingslea has made a memorable contribution of more than 25 years of service, through her dedication as one of the exemplary pioneer employees at Brown & Williamson Tobacco Industry. She has served various roles in the community through her volunteer efforts over the years with Cub Scouts, local senior care homes, Southwest High School Band, tutoring in Bibb County Schools and with her homeowner’s association group.
