On Tuesday, September 23, Mayor Lester Miller presented a proclamation to the United Way of Central Georgia’s Community Schools United Coordinators.

The proclamation recognizes Community Schools United Coordinators for their vital role in connecting schools and communities, fostering partnerships, and supporting students and families. It highlights the work of coordinators at L.H. Williams and Burdell-Hunt Elementary Schools and aligns with a national Coordinators Appreciation Week. Mayor Miler officially proclaims the week of September 23, 2025, as Community Schools United Coordinators Appreciation Week in Macon-Bibb County.
