Once you’re Cherry Blossom Festival royalty, you wear that crown or tiara for the rest of your life. On Tuesday, before the Festival began, Mayor Lester Miller and the Commission recognized current and previous royalty with a proclamation. March 18, 2025, is now known as the Cherry Blossom Royalty Ambassadors Appreciation Day. You can read about it here.

The International Cherry Blossom Festival through its diverse programming and events enhances sense of place, quality of life, community fellowship, and civic pride of all Macon and Middle Georgia residents. Each year under the overall theme of “Love, Beauty, and International Friendship,” a contest is conducted to select a royal court to reign over the current year’s festival.

All the people who have served on the royal court remain in service to the festival and city to organize, promote, and maintain the Macon, Georgia International Cherry Blossom Festival by becoming royal ambassadors of the city displaying our international friendship year-round.
