The Macon-Bibb County Economic and Community Development Department will host the Annual Pre-Funding Conference for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. The Conference will be held at Macon-Bibb Government Center (700 Poplar Street). Non-profit organizations interested in being considered to receive CDBG funding must attend the mandatory pre-funding conference in order to submit an application.

In the 2015 Program Year, the Department distributed $424,761 in CDBG funding, with $228,511 going for public services and $196,250 going for minor home repair programs. Some of the services funded included case management, community referrals, family counseling, homebuyer education, homelessness services, minor home repair, neighborhood organizing, youth mentoring programs, and more.
