From Friday, February 4, to Wednesday, February 23, county crews and WasteRec Services collected 29,110 old carts that belonged to ADS. (This total does not include the carts ADS collected during this time.)

“Our crews continue to move swiftly around the county to remove the old carts from our streets, and I’m proud of their dedication to getting this completed,” says Mayor Lester Miller. “I also want to thank you, the people of Macon-Bibb, for your patience as we’ve moved through this major change.”

As Mayor Miller announced on February 1, departments and a private company would focus on collecting the old carts, which belong to ADS/Waste Management. Any expenses associated with this additional effort will be billed to ADS.

Once your old cart is empty, please stop using it and leave it empty on the curb. If you still do not have a new red trash or blue recycling cart, you can put in a request at www.maconbibb.us/seeclickfix or by calling 866-898-4411 or 478-751-7400.

If residents would like to immediately get rid of their old carts, they can take them to our temporary Convenience Center at 920 11th Street.
