With old cart collection nearing its end and the arrival of new carts, crews from the Solid Waste, Public Works, and Parks & Beautification Departments have begun working together to make sure they have filled all requests for new carts. On Monday morning, they split up delivery maps for 795 requests and through the end of the day Thursday, they have delivered 363 red trash and 77 blue recycling carts.
“If you still need a red or blue cart, please let us know. Our goal is to make sure you have what you need to care for your household as we close out this transition to the new service,” says Solid Waste Supervisor Maurice Jackson. “Thank you for your patience and understanding. This was a major change we have all gone through together, and our crews have been committed to our roles and to helping wherever there was a need.”
