$26,000- that’s how much money was raised from sales of the Middle Georgia Firefighter Calendar. Two organizations were presented checks from the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department at a luncheon Friday, April 6. The check presentation and luncheon happened at Fire HQ on First Street. Jay’s Hope and the Georgia Fallen Firefighters’ Foundation each received $13,000. That money will go toward helping families in need in Middle Georgia, and around the state.

“This is another way of giving back to organizations that have supported our firefighters and their families for many years,” says Chief Riggins. “I also want to thank the firefighters that were part of the calendar and promoted health and wellness throughout the entire fire department.”
