Bibb Sheriff’s Office receives grant to track sex offenders

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a $20,000 grant from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to use for its 2016-2017 Sex Offender Registration Notification Program. The money will go toward a digital fingerprint and palmprint system that will help law enforcement register offenders more efficiently, and be able to share data with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as needed.
