From sidewalks and bike lanes to crosswalks and safer streets, there’s a lot that goes into making sure people can safely get where they need to go in Macon-Bibb County.
In the latest episode of our On Call series, we’re introducing you to Traffic Safety Manager Weston Stroud and giving you a closer look at the work he does to make our roads safer for everyone, whether you’re driving, walking, biking, or rolling.
Weston works with departments and community partners to identify safety concerns, improve infrastructure, and find ways to make our streets more accessible for people using all modes of transportation. His work also includes helping advance Macon-Bibb’s Complete Streets efforts, which consider the needs of everyone who uses our roadways.
But behind all that work is a person who cares about the community he serves. On Call gives you the chance to learn more about Weston, what brought him to this work, and what keeps him motivated to make Macon-Bibb safer and more connected.
