Macon-Bibb County’s IT Department is currently in the process of redesigning the consolidated government’s website, and it is in the process of setting up the structure of how people find information on the new site. This is being done through a simple set of tasks asking people to find certain items with drop down menus.

“While we know how to find things on our website, we want to make sure the new design is intuitive to people who don’t interact with us on a regular basis,” says GIS Manager Barbara Marlin. “Accessing our services, finding information, and contacting your Commissioner should be easy to do through the new website, and this survey will help us make that possible.”

“If we want people to check our website first for the information they need, it also needs to be the last place they look. That will mean they found what they needed…and they found it easily,” says County Manager Dr. Keith Moffett.

The Macon-Bibb County website currently features information about all departments, courts, and agencies, as well as links to partner agencies and organizations, media outlets, useful information, and more. It also contains recent news regarding the consolidated government and its partners, open bids for companies to provide services, how to apply to become a vendor, job applications, and much more.
