On Thursday, October 9, Macon-Bibb County employees stepped away from their desks to enjoy a day of sunshine, team spirit, and friendly competition during the annual Wellness Day, hosted by the Human Resources Department.
The day kicked off with activities across the community, including golf at the Historic Bowden Golf Course and pickleball at the Tattnall Square Pickleball Center. After the morning fun, employees and their families gathered at Carolyn Crayton Park, where they enjoyed music, games, food, door prizes, shaved ice, and a play area for kids.
“Wellness Day is about more than fun, it’s about recognizing the people who make our county great,” said County Manager Dr. Keith Moffett. “Our team works tirelessly to serve this community, and I’m proud we can take time to celebrate them.”
The annual event is part of Macon-Bibb County’s ongoing effort to promote employee wellness, work-life balance, and connection across departments. It serves as a reminder that a healthy, happy team helps build a stronger community.
