The Macon-Bibb County Commission approved hiring contractors to pave and resurface an additional 15.5 miles total. There were four separate paving packages Commissioners voted on Tuesday, September 23. The packages were awarded to McElroy, Inc., Professional Paving Services, LLC, and Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction, Inc.

These companies met the guidelines and came in with the lowest prices on their respective bids. McElroy ‘s contract is for $781,537.47 covers 3.23 miles of 29 road segments, Atlanta Paving is for $717,715.12 and covers 2.96 miles of 29 segments of roads, and Professional Paving was selected for two contracts: one is for $968,685.23 and covers 4.36 miles of 25 segments of roads, and the other contract is for $1,179,793 and covers 4.97 miles of 38 segments of roads.
