Mayor declares Mental Health Awareness Month

On Tuesday, May 3, Mayor Lester Miller read a proclamation where he declared May as Mental Health Awareness Month.  

This month is aimed to bring awareness and help to everyone in need, and several mental health workers showed up to the proclamation reading.  

Mental health is essential to everyone’s overall health and well-being. There is a strong body of research that supports specific tools that all Americans can use to better handle challenges, and protect their health and well-being. You can read the full proclamation here
