Health Department offers COVID-19 vaccine to children

The Macon-Bibb County Health Department is now offering Pfizer COVID-19 pediatric vaccines for children ages 5 – 11.

You can take your child to the health department at 1600 Forsyth Road every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can schedule an appointment by calling the health department at (478) 745-0411.

There is no out-of-pocket cost for COVID-19 vaccines, regardless of insurance status. Anyone who is under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive vaccination. The Pfizer vaccine is the only vaccine currently authorized for ages 5 and older. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are authorized for ages 18 and up.
