Macon-Bibb County Government offices and courts will be closed Thursday, November 11, 2021, in observance of Veterans Day.
For trash and recycling collection, your days will not change. Both Waste Management and Ryland Environmental will pick up on their usual routes. The Solid Waste Department will be closed that day, but will resume yard and bulk waste pickups on Friday.
Join us on Thursday, November 11 for two Veterans Day recognitions, one on Coleman Hill hosted by Middle Georgia State University and one in Linwood Cemetery hosted by the Macon Cemetery Preservation Corporation. Both events begin at 11:00 a.m.
If you missed the first Blossoms & Bacon Veterans Celebration this past weekend that included a parade, food trucks, and a free concert, you can see the pictures here. You can also watch the parade on Veterans Day – Thursday, November 11 – on 11:00 a.m. on 41NBC.
