#CleanStreetsMatter: We did it!

Last Saturday, our community showed up and showed out to make our County a better and cleaner place to live. More than 40 different groups and organizations signed up to take part in our third Clean Streets Matter County-wide Cleanup.

“Our community continues to impress us with how much they care,” said Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful (KMBB) Executive Director Caroline Childs. “Just cleaning up a small portion of a neighborhood makes a big difference and groups went above and beyond that day. Thank you to everyone who participated.”

We are working on calculating how much waste was picked up by the groups on Saturday. As soon as we get those number, we will keep you updated.

“I am so proud of everyone who stepped up to clean our community,” said Mayor Lester Miller. “This initiative is not just a one-time event. We need everyone to continue to show up in order to make a difference.”
