Bringing awareness to pedestrian safety

October 15, 2021

A quarter of all roadway fatalities in Macon-Bibb are pedestrian deaths. The Pedestrian Safety Review Board is working to reduce that number through safety initiatives, education campaigns, creative signage, and more. In honor of those efforts and those lives lost, we’re celebrating Pedestrian Safety Month. We urge everyone to slow down and watch their surroundings whether walking, biking, or driving on our roadways.

View the full proclamation here and follow the Pedestrian Safety Review Board on their Facebook show here, where we are posting several new Public Service Announcements from community leaders.
