October 13 named ‘Pink and Proud Day’

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Atrium Health Navicent wants to make sure everyone knows the risk factors. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death for women in the United States, and more than 266,000 men and woman are diagnosed with it each year.

To raise awareness, a proclamation was presented this week for Pink and Proud Day, October 13. It was a day to wear pink and honor those fighting breast cancer. Read the proclamation here
