Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

September 24, 2021

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and Mayor Lester Miller signed a proclamation to bring attention to this deadly disease.

Representatives of Atrium Health Navicent came to City Hall where Director of Community Affairs Dr. Henry Ficklin read the proclamation.

Ovarian Cancer claims more than 650 lives a year in our state, so we’re urging all women to visit their doctor, get checked out, and be aware of your health. You can read the full proclamation here.
