Both Adrian Bellamy and Xavier Davis were named Human Resources’ Employees of the Quarter. Our Human Resources (HR) Department does an extensive amount of work to keep our consolidated government running. Bellamy and Davis were recognized this quarter because of their dedication to their work and team.
“Adrian Bellamy and Xavier Davis willingly took on additional duties and have gone above and beyond the normal scope of their job. They have consistently shown their commitment to the department and actively contribute to ensure we meet our goals,” said Interim Director of Human Resources Joveta Turner. “I am so lucky to have these two as a part of our team, and we value all of their hard work and dedication.”
Adrian Bellamy joined the team as a HR Generalist in the middle of the pandemic last June, but quickly adapted to her role. Although Bellamy hasn’t worked with County for long, she has more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources. She says she is humbled to be recognized, but her department makes it easier to want to work hard every day.
“We all work very well together. Everyone here is very helpful; always willing to step in and help the other person out,” said Bellamy. “I love HR. I love what I do so it’s honor to be recognized for something I love to do.”
Xavier Davis shows similar sentiments to Bellamy. He has been with the HR Department for almost 7 years, currently serving as the Recruiter and Onboarding Coordinator. Davis says he’s grateful for the recognition for doing something he loves.
“It feels great. You know you do your work to the best of your ability and try go above and beyond, regardless of trying to be recognized for it,” said Davis. “To have that extra boost and compliment means a lot.”
