Seniors at the Elaine H. Lucas Senior Center are making their way over to the pickleball courts because Macon Pickleball is giving them a shot at some lessons and a new, fun activity.

“We’re excited to provide another opportunity for seniors to get involved in sports and in something many of them have never done before,” said Andrea Lee, Center Supervisor.

The partnership between Macon Pickleball and the Recreation Department began as a way to keep seniors active, while also making sure the activity is easy on their joints. Lee says they keep growing as more members are spreading the word and telling their friends about how much fun it is.

Classes are free for members of the Elaine H. Lucas Senior Center. Membership at the Center is $10.
