Mayor Lester Miller read a proclamation declaring April 2021 “School Library Month” in Macon-Bibb County. The proclamation, which you can read here, outlines the importance of these media centers and their specialists.

It goes on to say the School Library Media Specialists of the Bibb County School District work to create an environment conducive to reading and learning, critical thinking, and more, and that those libraries are enriched by staff and volunteers.
