Robert McCord, Deputy Director for the Macon-Bibb County Emergency Management Agency, is now an official Certified Emergency Manager.  This distinction, the highest of its kind, comes from the International Association of Emergency Managers.

In a letter from IAEM to Mayor Robert Reichert, it says, “Robert qualified as a CEM® by submitting an extensive credentials package giving personal and professional background achievements and successfully completing a Management Essay and a written examination. In order to maintain certification, he must continue a program of professional development over successive five-year periods in the future. Thus, this is an honor neither easily earned nor maintained.”

Robert is now one of 1,945 people around the world to hold this title. Learn more about Robert and his life-long mission to serve and help his community in this MaconBibbTV video.
