The Bibb County Tax Commissioner’s Office will hold a seminar on the Subsequent Tax Sale process from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2019. It will be in Commission Chambers at Macon-Bibb Government Center (700 Poplar Street.)
The Subsequent Tax Sale/Auction will be held on May 5, 2020 and include properties that failed to sell at an earlier tax sale. The starting opening bid for these properties will be $400! To bid, advanced registration is required. Registration begins at 8 AM on Friday, November 22, 2019 at www.maconbibbtax.us or in our office located at 188 Third St., Macon, GA 31201.
Only the first 125 properties chosen will be included in the sale, so register early!
After registration closes for property selection, you may register to bid on selected properties up until the tax sale on May 5, 2020.
”If you are interested in bidding, I strongly encourage you to attend a seminar to learn more about the process”, says Tax Commissioner S. Wade McCord.
