District 3 Commissioner, Elaine Lucas, is hosting a Town Hall Meeting for District 3 and all of Macon-Bibb County on Thursday, February 9 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul AME Church (2501 Shurling Drive). In attendance will be representatives from the church and neighborhood, and Commissioner Lucas will be announcing an upcoming District 3 Town Hall Meeting.

“We want to hear directly from the people we represent and serve what questions and concerns they have, as well as let them know what efforts we’ve already begun,” says Commissioner Elaine Lucas. “With the start of our second term, this is a great chance to hear from people on the direction they think we should take and the things we need to do to improve their neighborhoods.”

In attendance at the Town Hall Meeting will be Commissioner Lucas and representatives from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department, Engineering Department, Economic & Community Development Department, Parks & Recreation Department, Emergency Management Agency, Office of Public Affairs, and more. Also, the Planning & Zoning Commission will discuss and seek feedback on its 20-year comprehensive plan as part of a series of public forums currently being held.

Since Macon-Bibb County was created in January 2014, Commissioners have held a series of public meetings to provide updates on the consolidated government, answer questions, hear concerns, and help solve any issues they may have in their neighborhood.
