Aspiring Eagle Scout to build free little libraries in Macon-Bibb

December 9, 2016

Joseph Gaines wants to help people have access to free books! The aspiring Eagle Scout got permission from our Board of Commissioners to build two new little libraries. One will be located at the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail off Spring Street, and the other will be at the Bloomfield Recreation Center. He’ll provide the materials, and build them himself, and the Macon-Bibb Parks & Recreation Department will supervise. We’re proud of the young men who choose projects that benefit the whole community when they’re seeking their Eagle Scout Ranking!
