The Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections is in the process of moving to its new offices at 2525 Pio Nono Avenue, Suite 1200 (the old Shoe Carnival Building). Beginning Monday, August 10, people wanting to register to vote, ask about precincts, and more should go to the new offices.

“This is the facility the people of Macon-Bibb County deserve when voting and being a part of our democratic process. The Board’s primary objective is to ensure the integrity of the voting process and to make sure that every vote matters,” says Board of Elections Chair Cassandra Powell. “The new facility exceeds our expectations, and we know it will exceed the expectations of the public.”

The Board of Elections will be moving this week and getting set up (including computers and offices). Once they are completely set up, the Board will schedule a ribbon cutting and tour for community leaders, the public, and the media.
