As part of National Police Week, the Macon-Bibb County Law Enforcement Foundation, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and Macon-Bibb County Fire Department will hold the annual Peace Officer’s Memorial Day program. This year, it will take place May 20, 2016, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Public Safety Park at the corner of Second and Mulberry Streets.

During the Ceremony, all the names of our Public Safety Officers that lost their lives in the “Line of Duty” will be read, and the Honor Guard will place a rose at the base of the monument for each name read. The newest officer to be memorialized will be Euel Smith with his name on the Macon Police Department monument.

Below is a full program, including speakers and a list of the men and women memorialized on the monuments.
