Street lighting to be studied

The Commission approved entering into a contract with Philips Lighting North America Corporation to assess Macon-Bibb’s needs when it comes to street lighting. As part of consolidation, Macon-Bibb is working toward offering all residents the same services, and how street lights were installed differed in the former governments.

“By studying where and how lights are installed across the County, Macon-Bibb can begin making sure we are lighting our neighborhoods and roadways to help protect everyone’s safety,” says Macon-Bibb Mayor Robert Reichert.
