The Commission approved lowering the annual membership fee at Charles L. Bowden Golf Course to $600 and changing the daily fee to $20 for Monday through Thursday play, and to $25 for Friday through Sunday play. These changes aim to increase membership and daily place at the historic Bowden Golf Course.

In recent years, significant improvements have been made at Bowden Golf Course thanks to more than $600,000 in funding from the voter-approved SPLOST as part of Macon-Bibb’s focus on the community’s Quality of Life.  In February 2015, the Course was also added to the National Register of Historic Places.
