‘Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery’ this weekend

October 29, 2015

Remember, at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 01, 2015, it’s time to move your clocks backward one hour to end Daylight Saving Time.  The Macon-Bibb County Fire Department wants to remind you this is also the time to change the battery in your smoke detector. It’s a proven fact, working smoke detectors saves lives.

It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3.  Change your Clock; Change your Battery.

Residents that are in single-family homes (excluding rental properties and apartments) and do not have a working smoke alarm may contact the Fire Department at 478-751-9180 to have one installed at no cost.
