Our Human Resources Department has a new face leading its work to hire the best people to help move our community forward. Derrick Tromain Jordan may be new to the Department, but he’s not new to Macon-Bibb or to Human Resources.
Jordan was born and raised in Macon-Bibb, attending St. Peter Claver Catholic School and graduating from Northeast High School in 1991. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served aboard Navy Warships USS SARATOGA (CV-60), USS DOYLE (FFG-39),and USS DeWERT (FFG-45), completing a total of 6six-month deployments around the world. Jordan also served as the Navy’s HR Manager in Navy District Philadelphia, PA until being promoted to Chief HR Director in Navy District Atlanta, GA and Navy District Nashville, TN.
After retiring from the military service in 2011, Jordan became a successful senior-level Financial and Compensation Professional in multiple hospitals across Georgia.
Jordan has received the Joint Service Commendation Medal, two Joint Service Achievement Medals, two Navy and Marine Corp Commendation Medals, and seven Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medals.
He is married to Mrs. Alsae Jordan and has three children. Welcome to #TeamMaconBibb, Derrick Jordan!
