On Friday, September 16, we welcomed 19 new firefighters to our award-winning, Class 1 Fire Department. There was a graduation ceremony for this class of recruits at Mikado Baptist Church. You can watch the full ceremony here

“These recruits have done an outstanding job learning and working hard while we’re building our new training tower,” said Fire Chief Shane Edwards. “We want to thank the Jones County Fire Department and the Georgia Public Safety Training Center for letting us use their facilities while our new one is under construction. We look forward to bringing these guys back for more training when our facility is complete.”

You can read more about that new training tower here.
