Every Wednesday, the Booker T. Washington Community Center (404 Monroe Street) offers you an opportunity to take part in a fun activity that helps take care of your mental wellness.
“We want people to come out and do something that will lift their spirits and teach them something new. Plus, it’s good for your mental health,” said CEO/Lead Therapist of Southern Center for Choice Theory Gloria Cisse. “You get connected with people, learn something new, relax, and it adds to your wellness.”
For the next few weeks, people will get to do visual journaling. Visual journaling allows you to draw, and cut and add pictures and words to a journal to understand and create personal meaning. You can attend a class every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
