Those who have done so much to keep our streets clean were recognized Tuesday, June 15 at the Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful (KMBB) 47th Annual Awards Luncheon. This luncheon was pushed back from 2020 because of the pandemic.

More than 30 people in our community accepted an award for standing out when it comes to keeping Macon-Bibb County beautiful. Among those recognized were our county staff, such as Terry Daniels, the Athletics Maintenance Director for Parks and Recreation. Daniels received the Parks and Recreation Employee of the Year award.

“It shows that somebody is watching,” said Daniels. “You could go all year without getting anything but a paycheck. But to actually get an award for your work, it shows that someone notices what you’ve been doing while you’re working.”

“We have a wonderful town. We love Macon, so to have everyone that helps to keep it nice, we love it,” said KMBB Founder Carolyn Crayton. “If we all pull together, work together, and love eachother, we can perform miracles.”
