Government, trash hours for 4th of July

Macon-Bibb County will close all government offices, including the court system, on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in observance of Independence Day. Emergency and law enforcement services will remain operational, including the Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office, E-911, and EMA.   

Both Convenience Centers will also be closed on the Tuesday, July 4 and the 11th Street location will reopen Wednesday, July 5. The location at 4214 Fulton Mill Road is open Thursday – Sunday.  

Ryland Environmental will collect trash, recycling, and waste on Monday, July 3, but not July 4. Services will be delayed by one day beginning Wednesday, July 5. So if your normal day is Wednesday, then it will be Thursday. Visit https://sw.maconbibb.us to find your collection day.
