Government office closures, solid waste changes for 4th of July

On Independence Day on Monday, July 4, Macon-Bibb government offices will be closed for the holiday. That includes City Hall, most departments, and the courts. This does not include emergency services like Sheriff, Fire, and E911. 

Trash, recycling, and bulk waste pickup will be delayed a day next week. Monday households will be picked up Tuesday, and so on. Friday collection will happen on Saturday.  To check your collection day for the week and all other weeks, click here.  

The Convenience Center on 11th Street will close at noon on Sunday, July 3 and be closed all day on Monday July 4. It will resume it’s normal hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.on Tuesday, July 5.
