S. Wade McCord, Macon-Bibb County Tax Commissioner, says 125 properties have been selected for The Subsequent Tax Sale/Auction scheduled for May 5, 2020. These are the properties which failed to sell at an earlier tax sale. The starting opening bid for these properties will be $400. To bid, advanced registration is required. Registration has already started. It’s open now. You can register at www.maconbibbtax.us or at the Tax Commissioner’s office located at 188 Third St., Macon, GA 31201. You may register to bid on selected properties up until the tax sale on May 5, 2020.
”If you are interested in bidding, I strongly encourage you to attend one of our seminars to learn more about the process”, says Tax Commissioner S. Wade McCord. If you were unable to attend the first seminar, there will be two more – on December 12, 2019 and January 9, 2020.
